It is based on the electromagnetic properties of living tissues, free of ionizing radiation, and capable of rendering the highest soft-tissue contrast images of all imaging modalities. Continuing research, software, and hardware refinements had led to widening its clinical applications. This chapter reviews the basics characteristics of Magnetic Resonance Imaging.</p>info:eu-repo/semantics/restrictedAccessAdvantagesBasic physicsGadolinium-contrast agentsHardwareLimitationsMagnetic Resonance ImagingMRI safetyPrinciples of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)Chapter
