| dc.description | <p>In this paper, we examine what the principles subsidiarity and integration mean and how they work in the environmental field, in the European legal system. The objective is to point out how these principles have enriched the European debate on how the different competences should be exercised and on where the concerns related to the protection of the environment should be considered. The principles of subsidiarity and integration, it is concluded, may offer a different path from traditional decision-making processes, which is adjusted to the peculiar characteristics of environmental issues.</p> | eng |
| dc.description | Resumen: En el presente trabajo se analizan el contenido y la forma de operar, en el ordenamiento jurídico europeo, de los principios de subsidiariedad y de integración en ámbito ambiental. El objetivo es señalar cómo estos principios han enriquecido el debate europeo sobre cómo debieran ejercerse las distintas competencias y sobre las instancias en que debieran ponderarse las distintas preocupaciones relacionadas con la tutela del medio ambiente. Los principios de subsidiariedad y de integración, se concluye, pueden ofrecer un camino distinto de los esquemas tradicionales de toma de decisiones, que se ajusta a las características peculiares del tema ambiental. | spa |
