| dc.description | The family´s practices of language and literacy have an impact on children. The objective of this study was to examine the feasibility of the virtual version of a face-to-face program for improving these skills. Group workshops, aimed at parents, were organized to promote parental self-efficacy and literacy practices. This mixed study compared the results obtained in both modalities, which showed a similar attendance and a less weekly frequency of practices in the virtual modality.<br/><br/>Both modalities reported improvements in self-efficacy and the perception of change when a comparison was made between the situation of the participants before and after attending the workshops. | eng |
| dc.description | Las prácticas familiares de lenguaje y alfabetización impactan en el desarrollo del niño. El objetivo del estudio fue examinar la factibilidad de la versión virtual de un programa presencial de mejora de estas habilidades. Se implementaron talleres grupales dirigidos a padres para promover la autoeficacia parental y prácticas de alfabetización. Este estudio mixto comparó los resultados obtenidos en ambas modalidades, los cuales muestran similar asistencia y menor frecuencia semanal de prácticas en la modalidad virtual. Ambas modalidades reportan mejoras en autoeficacia y en percepción de cambio, al compararlas antes y después de la asistencia a los talleres. | spa |
