Abstract
Description

Surrogacy is presented as an assisted reproduction technique that assists certain people who wish to become parents. However, its practice has generated disagreements among feminists. Indeed, liberal feminism, advocating women’s autonomy, defends surrogacy as a sign of freedom. In contrast, radical feminists and ecofeminists see the practice as a form of instrumentalisation and exploitation of women. This article seeks to reflect on the social and philosophical implications of surrogacy in order to show what comes from commodifying motherhood and what what can happen to the paternal and maternal-filial bond when techno-scientific logic is introduced into it.
